Sentigraph (EMOT) ICO Review – ICO Token News
Sentigraph is a decentralized platform that informs its users about the sustainability of present and future events, initiatives, programs and projects based on emotion data obtained from sentiment analysis or opinion mining within a social or crowd network by leveraging Artificial Intelligence (IBM Watson), Blockchain (Ethereum), and Interplanetary File System (IPFS).
In addition, Sentigraph is the first platform to add tokenized values to Twitter hashtags using EMOT (the official utility token of Sentigraph) by offering the Emotion Volatility Prediction (EVP) platform that incentivizes participants to predict the sentiment direction of twitter hashtags through a gamified experience.
The Sentigraph platform ofers 2 major services. Firstly, it features a gauge and chart system that act as sentiment-based indicators for organizations and individuals that want to properly align their decisions and products/ services to the needs of their target community/customers from the computed Graph Index (gi) value. The platform’s gauge acts as a pulse indicator that reflects the viability of a current or future event in real time based on the strength of participants with favourable sentiments in a crowd network. The charts are reflective of the ongoing changes in the cumulative “pulse” (∆gi) of all reactions to any hashtag in question up to its most current gi. On the platform, the gauge and chart illustrate the underlying analysis of queried Twitter hashtags that individuals, organizations and communities are interested in.
Secondly, the platform features an Emotion Volatility Prediction game (EVP) for players to predict the sentiment direction of listed hashtags. Players who correctly predict the direction of the Graph Index (gi) will win an allotted number of EMOT tokens. Users and players will require EMOT tokens in order to participate and benefit from any of our services.
Blockchain technology offers quite a number of merits over a traditional database in the areas of immutability, lower costs, transparency, accountability, security and many more. Sentigraph leverages these attributes by virtue of having its logic located on the Ethereum blockchain. Users of Sentigraph can trust that the computation of the Graph Index, which depicts the emotional level of users’ reactions in their private networks, is not owned and manipulated by one central authority. Sentigraph also leverages a Smart Contract for the Graph Index computation in order to ensure the integrity and transparency of the EVP gaming platform. Furthermore, anyone can have complete visibility into the Smart Contract (an Ethereum Smart Contract is a piece of logic/code that dictates the terms, states and rules of a given digital contract. Smart Contracts are embedded at certain addresses in the blockchain and visible to everyone).
Users of Sentigraph can be rest assured that there would be seamless uninterrupted service with no down times as opposed to traditional servers and databases. Since the Ethereum blockchain is open to the public domain, it is not appropriate to store the Graph Index data belonging to individuals, agencies, corporations and small businesses on the blockchain. The blockchain holds the smart contract, which makes the logic factory decentralized across nodes, but the computed indices will be stored in a private distributed IPFS network while the generated hash is saved in the cloud – Amazon Web Services (AWS) for lookup purposes.
In order to use the platform, a user needs to register and sign in to open an account. Since EMOT is used to query the system (Sentigraph), authenticated account holders who want to have access to services will be required to either purchase EMOT from the Vault located in the dapp or from an exchange. EMOT tokens can be used for the following:
Computing The Graph Index Of A Hashtag
To fetch the gi of a hashtag the user needs EMOT tokens. Depending on the price, a specific number of EMOT is needed to obtain a single gi at any given time. Thus, the EMOT acts as fuel for the system to analyze and generate the indexes and plot them on charts (let’s say for a gi computation thatruns in intervals).
Emotional Volatility Prediction (EVP)
EMOT is the official ICO token for Sentigraph and It is an ERC-20 token. According to Wikipedia, A binary option is a financial option in which the payof is either some fixed monetary amount or nothing at all. The two main types of binary options are the cash-or-nothing binary option and the asset-or-nothing binary option. The former pays some fixed amount of cash if the option expires in-the-money while the latter pays the value of the underlying security.
The EVP is a disruptive offering from Sentigraph and is very similar to the traditional binary options. This is a gaming platform that will allow users/players to be rewarded for favoring the sentiment direction (up or down) of listed hashtags. The platform will list the top 5 hashtags (more than 5 listings are expected in the future) based on specified categories (to be decided), and users can use their EMOT tokens to favor a certain direction. The following events describe how the EVP works :
- At the platform’s Start of Day (SOD in UTC), the system computes the current gi (opening gi) of all the hashtags and renders them.
- Players are allowed a 1-hour window to favor a direction using EMOT (Puts or Calls)
- The platform will charge a commission of 0.5% of every EVP player’s entry.
- At the EOH (End of Hour), the system reports the total amount of Ups, Downs, and total EMOT tokens played.
- At the platform’s End of Day (EOD in UTC), the system re-computes the current gi (closing gi) of all the hashtags and reports them.
- The System compensates all winners with all entries from the losers in the right proportions.
- The platform starts the next round in a recursive fashion.
